Scent development

Minty Midnight Musk is based on a historical recipe from our attar portfolio, which long-standing connoisseurs may know under the names Black Deer Musk and later Kashmir Pheromones Noir.

The extraordinary personality of this creation reveals itself from the very first moment. Barely released from the flacon, a fascinating combination of animalic musk notes, soft leather tones and crystal-clear spearmint spreads at an impressive speed.

The fresh mint is distantly reminiscent of the purity of white mint pastilles, without ever seeming sweet or artificial. It lends the composition an almost weightless transparency, while beneath it the animalic soul of the fragrance is already building up.

The Himalayan musk unfolds with remarkable presence. Its pheromone-like radiance possesses that hard-to-explain quality which is experienced rather than described. It creates an aura that draws attention without ever needing to be loud.

In the heart, the warm facets of Shamama and Indian patchouli merge with the animalic notes into an extraordinary leather signature. It is not a dark, rough leather. Rather, its structure recalls the supple surface of fine leather goods of decades past – soft, slightly powdery, elegant and familiar.

With increasing wear time, Minty Midnight Musk becomes ever more harmonious. The initial freshness merges completely with the musk and leather facets and creates an exceptionally supple texture.

With an oil content of more than 33 %, this creation was deliberately conceived as an Extrait de Parfum in order to bring out the characteristic properties of the Himalayan musk to the fullest while at the same time guaranteeing remarkable wearability even at high temperatures.

For Minty Midnight Musk only natural, high-quality raw materials were used, personally selected by our perfumer AttarG on his numerous raw-material journeys.

Every single component was chosen with the aim of preserving the historical soul of this recipe while at the same time creating a modern interpretation for today's fragrance lovers.

The raw materials used are distinguished by their authenticity, origin and exceptional quality. Instead of industrial standardisation, the natural beauty of noble fragrance materials takes centre stage here.

Exclusivity

Of Minty Midnight Musk, only 200 ml were produced for the first batch.

As is customary in traditional natural niche perfumery, no future batch will correspond exactly to the previous one. Natural raw materials change with harvest year, origin and maturation. It is precisely this liveliness that constitutes the special appeal of genuine perfume artistry.

Each batch is thus an independent record of its raw materials and of the moment of its creation.
