Tonkin Tobacco Sunset is the sophisticated continuation of its little brother – born from the third batch of Tonkin Sunset, refined by Duftkumpels' own in-house Virginia pipe tobacco tincture, obtained from five select tobaccos.
Not a new recipe – but a maturing shadow, a deeper sound, a more refined heartbeat of the same melody.

A velvety-warm blend of tonka bean and vanilla absolute, interwoven with the dark pulse of Himalayan cedar. But above it all dances a new chord: a juicy, rounded pipe tobacco whose soft nuances are reminiscent of vanilla berries, smooth rum, and lightly caramelized wood fibers.
The vibrant radiance of the three grapefruit varieties remains – but it takes a step to the side, allowing the tobacco to unfold slowly, almost ceremoniously.
A fragrance created in response to the strong demand of the community, who love and repeatedly requested the growing magic of tobacco accords.

Fragrance progression

As the sun sinks lower and the horizon over Tonkin Island falls into a bronze veil, a new story begins – the same landscape, but with more muted colors, warmer light, and calmer air.
The opening once again evokes the familiar rays of the original: pink, white and blood-red grapefruit merge into a vibrant, sparkling citrus image, enveloped by the bittersweet warmth of orange absolute.
But as soon as the top note subsides, another curtain rises: a round, juicy pipe tobacco accord, soft as freshly moistened tobacco leaves, carried by vanilla berries and a subtle hint of rum.

The day is drawing to a close – and with it, depth and contour unfold.
Tonka bean, sweet and warm, blends into the earthy pulse of mature Indian patchouli. Himalayan cedar breathes dry, dark, and calm, while vanilla absolute slowly melts, enveloping the fragrance like a soft blanket.
The tobacco tincture – made instead of neutral alcohol – makes the fragrance denser, calmer, slightly richer in oil (by about 1.5–2%), without altering its DNA.
